Am I insured when using a Check vehicle?

Both Check cars and mopeds are covered by liability insurance. This insurance covers damage caused to third parties with a Check vehicle, except for the deductible. The deductible for scooters is €500. For cars, the deductible is €1,000, both for damage to a third party and for damage to the Check car. Check our policy terms for all the details.

For the e-bikes, you are responsible for your own liability insurance.

What is the policy on driving under the influence?

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden and illegal. If you cause an accident while under the influence, you are not covered by the insurance, and you will be held personally liable for all damages. It can also lead to suspension of your account and legal prosecution.

How much does a Check ride cost?

The cost of a Check ride depends on the vehicle type:

Electric scooter: 35 cents per minute (15 cents parking), with a starting fee of €1.

Electric car: You ride from €2.17 per hour. Select your trip duration and distance in the app and easily calculate the price for your trip.

Electric bike: Currently temporarily 25 cents per minute. Parking costs 1 cent per minute and without a starting fee.

Per invoice, Check charges €1.25 transaction costs. This does not apply to invoices of €0 and payments via NS Business Card and Shuttle.

When can I use Check?

In most cities, Check is available 24/7. However, some locations, like Amsterdam and Groningen, have specific operating hours. It is always best to check the app for the current availability of vehicles in your area.

How do I park a Check vehicle?

You must park the vehicle within the service area shown in the app. Park in a designated spot where it doesn't obstruct pedestrians or traffic. Follow the instructions in the app to end your ride correctly. Improper parking can result in a fine.
